What is AZ?
The AZ software offers a full library of image quality evaluation metrics, from standard ones to advanced and proprietary metrics, for sensors, lenses and ISP tuning. All measurements are processed on automatically detected regions of interest. Our software is designed to optimize and reduce operation time to insure high repeatability. It is modular and comes in several packages that cover many aspects of image quality evaluation.

Basic Measurements
This includes the standard Optics & Photo measurements for the characterization & calibration of digital cameras. Users can analyze color fidelity, auto-exposure, texture, noise, white balance, sharpness, distortion, MTF, lateral chromatic aberrations, vignetting and color fringing on single photos. Multiple measurements can be done using the same image on one chart.
Interface
Our new Graphical User Interface offers enhanced image and results visualization. Designed by image quality engineers for their peers, this revamped UI offers a clear and intuitive representation of all metrics available, thanks to an enhanced preview, a dedicated waiting list of your measurements and easy exports for brief or detailed analysis.
Lab Manager
This instrument control application is tailored for our hardware solutions, through a GUI or an API, to best suit your needs. It allows for precise control and repeatable automation of all Analyzer lab equipment, including but not limited to the new Multispectral Lighting System (MLS), the Shaking platform (Hexapod), the Automated Moving Object (AMO) and the Flicker & Timing Box.
Advanced Measurements
Advanced features include support of Fisheye lenses for optical measurements, and support of RAW images for all photo measurements. For Dynamic Range measurements, our HDR Composite Chart contains three main patterns: grayscale, dead leaves and 24-color matrix, allowing you to measure temporal noise reduction, contrast, texture, color fidelity & consistency thanks to a back-lighted transmissive chart that simulates a dynamic range of up to 15 EV. You can also analyze exposure time, electronic rolling shutter, frame rate, missing frames, time lags, autofocus time lag of photos and videos thanks to our dedicated Flicker & Timing Box (flickering measurement sold separately).
Licensing
You are free to choose between 2 licensing options:
- Yearly (starting at 1 800€):
Just like most professional software, the yearly subscription license allows you to get every updates from day 1, including new features and measurements. You will also benefit from a continuous help thanks to our dedicated support, made up of DXOMARK experts. This solution is tailored for companies with a limited annual IQ budget, and/or for those who wants the complete and future-proof AZ experience.
- Perpetual (starting at 6 000€):
For those who prefer a one-time payment, we also provide perpetual licenses of our AZ software. You will get access to our support as well as minor updates (for bug fixes and small improvements) for 1 year only, from license activation date. Past this 1 year, you will be able to purchase support renewal (starting at 1 200€ per year) to continue taking advantage of our dedicated support, made up of DXOMARK experts. The perpetual license does not grant access to major updates, with new features and measurements updates.
