DXOMARK Score
For more than two decades, DXOMARK scores have been a trusted reference across the imaging industry. Recognized for their rigor and consistency, they are relied upon by manufacturers, journalists, and end-users worldwide. With DXOMARK Smartphone Camera v6, we offer our most advanced evaluation protocol yet, combining precise laboratory measurements with perceptual analysis, all grounded in user preferences and aligned with the latest technological advancements.
The overall DXOMARK score is based on a weighted geometric average of five sub-scores, each reflecting different imaging dimensions: Photo Main, Photo Zoom, Video Main, Video Zoom, and Bokeh. These sub-scores are themselves composed of individual image quality attributes such as Exposure, Color, Autofocus, Texture, Noise, Artifacts, and Stabilization. Our weighting model is informed by years of user research into both camera usage and image quality expectations, ensuring the score reflects actual user experience.
Version 6 of the protocol brings particular focus to three critical aspects of imaging performance: Portrait rendering, Zoom quality, and Video performance under a wide range of real-life conditions.

Analyzer Lab
With Analyzer, you can faithfully reproduce our entire Camera v6 protocol in your own test environment. This comprehensive lab solution brings the same reliability and precision we use in our Paris-based facilities, now fully accessible to your engineering team.
Thanks to advanced automation, you can capture every test scene, lighting condition, and motion scenario defined in the Camera v6 protocol without manual intervention at each step. The measurement software automatically detects the region of interest on each chart and test setup, then processes both objective and AI-driven measurements in a fully integrated workflow. Each chart and piece of equipment shipped from DXOMARK is carefully calibrated to ensure repeatability from day one.
In addition to objective measurements, Analyzer also supports perceptual analysis: our renowned perceptual DXOMARK chart is available, and we offer training so your teams can confidently conduct visual evaluations in line with our scoring methodology. For natural scene testing, we also provide support to help you define a shooting plan that aligns with Camera v6 KPIs.
Protocol Automation
Imaging teams today face increasing pressure to test faster while maintaining precision and consistency. Yet traditional lab testing remains complex, often requiring operators to manually reconfigure setups for each test. DXOMARK Protocol Automation eliminates this burden by automating the entire workflow, from test scene acquisition to result aggregation.
The solution integrates all the test scripts used in our in-house Camera v6 evaluations, simulating a wide range of scenarios such as changing lighting, motion, and backlit scenes. It also controls all necessary lab equipment automatically, including lighting systems, Hexapod Shaker, Trigger, Timer, and AMO, following DXOMARK recommendations and specifications. Once the test is launched, operators can step back as the automation takes over, saving time and reducing human error.
The newly included graphical interface gives access to full measurement reports, comparison tools, and database management features. Reports can be exported in JSON or PDF formats for integration into your internal systems or sharing with suppliers.
And of course, you can complement these objective tests with perceptual analyses, replicating official DXOMARK evaluations within your own environment, with training and guidance available as needed.
