About our ERS measurement

To evaluate the rolling shutter, we used the customer’s camera to capture images of our fully controllable LED timer box set to ERS measurement mode. The LED timer box displays a bright signal across vertically aligned LED lines, which sweep from left to right in sync. The software then automatically calculates the Electronic Rolling Shutter (ERS) effect from the captured image by measuring the offsets between from the top to bottom of the frame.

Our Analyzer Standard IQ software enables fast processing and effortless result export, providing instant reports with all relevant information neatly organized and professionally formatted. In this case, the customer received all the required reports within the same day.

About our distortion measurement

In the evaluation of the DJI Mavic camera, the lens was a standard spherical design, so a simple Brown-Conrady projection model was sufficient to meet the customer’s needs. However, in many other cases, we have encountered optics that are non-radial, aspherical, or require more complex models. In these situations, we employ more advanced projection models, such as the polynomial xy model, to ensure accurate results.

This highlights why working with experts like us is invaluable—our experience and expertise allow us to adapt to the specific complexities of each project, something that can be challenging to achieve independently.
