The Programmable Traffic Light reproduces a real automotive traffic signal for camera and ADAS tests, at a simulated diameter of 300mm consistent with actual road signage scale. Each of the three lights, red, yellow, and green, operates independently, with its own on/off state, graphical indicator selection, and brightness level adjustable from 0 to 100, so a test can isolate a single color channel or run all three together as a complete signal cycle.
Beyond simple illumination, each light can display one of five graphical indicators, a plain circle or an arrow pointing up, down, left, or right, covering the directional signal types used in real intersections. Flicker frequency is adjustable from 0 to 1000Hz in 1Hz increments and can be synchronized across all three lights, which supports rolling shutter and flicker artifact testing under a range of pulse-width-modulated LED driving conditions similar to those found in deployed traffic signals.
The unit ships on a rolling stand for quick repositioning across different test scenarios without needing to remount the fixture. Control is available either through time-based programmed sequences and dedicated software, or through a C/C++ API for engineers integrating the light directly into an existing automated test pipeline alongside other scene elements.
