January 9, 2026

We are pleased to introduce Analyzer v9.3, our latest update to support advanced camera testing:

  • AZPhoto Measurements: HDR tone mapping, Blur, and Color sensitivity available in AZPhoto; Distortion, LCA, and FoV measured on Checkerboard chart; and Diffraction Limit MTF in MTF measurement.
  • Flexibility for Labs: Noise, Contrast, and Transfer function measures on any chart; RAW converter tool available in AZPhoto.
  • Performance Improvements: The performance of several measurements has been improved and color space conversion is faster.
  • New Automation & Optical Metrics: Saturated area metric in Flare measure; support of HDC for HarmonyOS device automation; and closed loop for LED panels.

AZPhoto: More Metrics, Deeper Image Quality Insight

AZPhoto continues to expand its measurement capabilities to better reflect real-world camera performance. HDR tone mapping, blur, and color sensitivity analysis are now fully integrated into AZPhoto GUI.

Engineers can also measure distortion, lateral chromatic aberration, and field of view using a checkerboard chart and compute diffraction limit MTF directly within the MTF measurement workflow, bringing optical and image quality evaluation closer together in a single tool

Flexibility for Labs: Custom Charts, Any Format with Native RAW Support

AZPhoto now offers greater flexibility for advanced lab setups. Custom charts are supported for noise measurements and contrast & transfer function analysis, providing support for any chart containing uniform patches. In addition, the new RAW converter tool allows AZPhoto to read headerless RAW image formats directly, reducing external preprocessing steps

Performance Improvements: Faster Processing, Higher Throughput

Analyzer performance has been significantly optimized to support high-volume testing. Applying HDR gain maps and performing colorspace conversions is now faster, and the performance of several measurements (LCG, AFHDR Portrait, AFHDR) has been improved. These enhancements reduce processing time, improve responsiveness, and help labs increase throughput without compromising measurement accuracy.

Enhanced Automation and Advanced Optical Metrics

This release further strengthens Analyzer’s automation and optical evaluation capabilities with HDC support for HarmonyOS devices, enabling automated testing, and closed-loop illuminance control for LED panels, ensuring stable and repeatable lighting conditions.

It also introduces IEEE-2020 Contrast Performance Indicators (CPI) measurement, delivering Contrast Transfer Accuracy (CTA) and Contrast Signal-To-Noise Ratio (CSNR) maps for RAW and RGB images, enhances flare analysis with a new saturated area metric and dedicated demo kits for faster and more reliable exposure selection
