DXOMARK to launch video call protocol V2

At DXOMARK, we are committed to constantly improving all of our testing protocols to stay on track with technology and industry developments. As part of that mission, we will soon be launching version 2 of our video call protocol.

Our latest video call evaluation methodology has evolved to better reflect today’s real world video-call and camera experience.

So what can you expect from the update?

• A new generation of objective metrics
• Testing more challenging real-world scenarios
• AI assisted evaluation of real-world scenes

This protocol update also brings a new fully automated lab setup featuring DXOMARK’s latest advanced objective metrics, including AI-based detail preservation, next-generation noise evaluation, HDR assessment, as well as full protocol automation with automated report generation.

New perceptual shooting plan now with 10 real-world scenes covering the full range of video call use cases, including low-light conditions, meeting room calls, one-to-one conversations, family calls, and multi-person scenarios, with models representing a wide variety of skin tones.

We are hosting a launch event in Taipei for our video call v2 protocol update next week.
