Hands on practice for Automotive: Electronic Imaging

Join DXOMARK ’s course at the Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) EI2024 in San Francisco on January 21st 2024!

DXOMARK, with 10+ years in testing lenses, DSLRs, smartphones, and automotive cameras, offers scientific protocols and tools for image-quality benchmarking. Their Analyzer suite is widely used globally, with 180+ labs installed. Their reports aid camera makers in product development and benchmarking.

Our Image Science Director Laurent Chanas will be giving a 4 hour course including an overview of image quality measurement for computer vision, focusing on automotive applications. It addresses the wider dynamic range and field of view challenges. Adapting measurement protocols for the new IEEE/P2020 standard will also be covered, alongside practical lab measurement solutions and demonstrations.

Laurent Chanas has been working in image quality assessment and improvement for more than 20 years. He is now responsible for the image quality assessment solution, Analyzer. Previously, Chanas worked at DxO Labs, developing image processing algorithms (including several international patents) and managing the test and measurement laboratory. Chanas has a master’s from the Ecole Nationale de l’Electronique et ses Applications, as well as a PhD in image processing from University Cergy-Paris.
Here is the schedule of our activitiy for this event:
